The need for a P-shot 5.0 is different for each man. So is the number of treatment sessions required. We assume a minimum of 3 treatment sessions. In consultation with the doctor, it may be necessary to schedule additional treatment sessions.

What is the P-shot 5.0?
For the P-shot 5.0 treatment, PRP 5.0 is used. The abbreviation PRP 5.0 (LR-PRP) stands for Platelet Rich Plasma which is extracted from your blood by centrifuge. PRP 5.0 is LR-PRP where LR stands for ‘Leukocyte-Rich’. Leukocyte is the name for white blood cells. Within PRP 5.0, exosomes present in the blood are also activated.
Your blood consists of ± 55% plasma, ± 44% red blood cells, <1% white blood cells and 0.2% platelets. The centrifuge separates the plasma, platelets and white blood cells from the red blood cells.
LR-PRP is injected into specific areas of your penis to enhance or strengthen it.
Plasma, platelets, white blood cells and exosomes?
Plasma is 91.5% water and the remaining 8.5% consists of nutrients, vitamins, hormones, electrolytes and many blood proteins. The water in plasma makes it liquid and allows it to be injected.
Platelets are small disc-shaped cells formed in the bone marrow which contain granules containing over 300 bioactive substances and growth factors. You have between 150,000,000,000 and 400,000,000,000 platelets per litre in your blood unless you have thrombocytopenia. They have no nucleus and cannot multiply. The lifespan of a platelet is 5 to 9 days. Platelets have a key role in building new connective tissue and restoring the blood supply.
White blood cells provide more release of growth factors. which are directed to make blood vessels and exosomes. These are pieces of cell membrane, which ensure the activation of stem cells to make younger and new tissues or body cells.

Phases in LR-PRP (PRP 5.0):
Phase 1 (inflammatory phase, lasts about 7 days): The platelets start to secrete the stored bioactive substances within 10 minutes after the injection, with more than 95% of the growth factors being secreted within 1 hour and at the same time the recruitment of white blood cells is started. The remaining 5% is secreted in the remaining days of life of the platelets.
Phase 2 (proliferation phase, lasts about 6 weeks): In this phase, the body begins to create new tissue.

Making of the PRP
During blood collection, your blood flows into vacuum tubes containing separation gel and anticoagulant. After filling the 10Ml tubes, they are disconnected from the vacutainer and then placed in the centrifuge. After 5 minutes of centrifugation and resuspension, the PRP is ready.
The nurse takes blood and places it in tubes in the centrifuge after which centrifugation prepares the PRP, leukocytes and exosomes for injection.
The success of a P-shot treatment is determined by the quality of the LR-PRP and following the guidelines before and after the treatment sessions.
Patient convenience

Treatment Plan
The three treatment sessions are part of the treatment plan which begins 2 – 4 weeks (depending on your current blood quality) before the first session and runs until 6 weeks after the third session, so in total the treatment lasts 31 – 33 weeks.
After your first treatment session you will have your second treatment session 4 – 6 weeks later and again 4 – 6 weeks later your third treatment session. After that, you come back every 12 – 18 months for your maintenance treatment.
In practice it happens that men like the effect so much that they make an appointment for maintenance after 3 – 6 months. This can and may, where we assume your own sense.
Pumping optional
You can enhance the effect of the PRP by using pumping starting 12 days after each treatment session.

In the phone call where treatment dates are set, the medical assistant will ask some questions necessary to create your Personal PRP plan. How you do this we explain in your Personal PRP Plan. In the plan we indicate when you need to do what on what date. This is in relation to the three treatment sessions.

P-shot treatment
In advance
- You have clicked on the “MAKE an APPOINTMENT” button, filled in the request form and pressed submit.
- The request arrives at our service desk. The medical assistant who will assist you will review your answers to the questions and start calling you for the intake and scheduling of your treatment.
- The period between making the appointment and the first treatment session is at least 2 weeks, because we need this period of time to “clean” your blood.
- After the three treatment dates and times have been set, the medical assistant will send you an email message containing the appointment confirmation, the address of the private clinic, the name of the attending doctor, the link to your Personal PRP Plan and password.
- The medical assistant will ask you to send a reply when you receive the email so that you can begin your preparation.
The treatment session
- The nurse welcomes you and takes you to the treatment room. Here you may lie down on the treatment table after removing your underwear.
- The nurse will take two tubes of blood and put them in the centrifuge.
Then the nurse applies preanesthetic cream all over your penis. This gives a warm feeling. - After 5 minutes, the centrifuge is finished and you feel the preanesthetic working.
The nurse prepares your PRP for injection.
In the meantime, the doctor comes and gives two numbing injections at the base of your penis, making it completely numb. The more you relax, the less you will feel from the numbing. - Once the anesthesia is working, the doctor will come and inject the PRP on a quiet one.
- Then you are ready to get dressed.
The treatment session takes 30 – 40 minutes.
Afterward
- You follow the instructions you received through your Personal PRP plan.
Follow up
- Three months after your last treatment session, your medical assistant will contact you to discuss your progress. In consultation with you, a next contact moment will be arranged.
Making love in the period between treatment sessions is certainly possible if you feel it can be done.

Volume increase due to P-shots
P-shots can cause an increase in volume of about 10%. As a result, we are frequently asked if the treatment also causes the penis to grow in length by about 10%?
The increased length is equal to the volume increase in width divided by two. Which stays for 6 months and then gradually decreases and returns at your next maintenance treatment session.
Calculation example: Suppose a penis has a thickness before PRP of 3 cm, then with a volume increase of about 10% after PRP, the thickness can be 3.3 cm. If you divide the increase in volume by 2, you arrive at 0.15 cm. This is the thickness that can be added in length at the head of the penis.
Alternative filler
We are sometimes asked if we can also add hyaluronic acid for a faster effect, because this attracts more water to the area where it is injected. This gives no added value on a sensory level.
In fact, it is a temporary “quick fix” for aesthetics, but is out of the body after 24 hours. So the effect is also quickly gone again, unless cross-linked hyaluronic acid is used. This is made by chemical modification, which is why we don’t want to use it.
By being a little more patient and letting the PRP quietly do its regenerative work, you get beautiful results, including long-term increased volume naturally. This causes P-shots to be seen as an alternative filler.
